According to Branigan, “This holy well was located near to the large font in the graveyard of St Maelruain’s Church of Ireland in Tallaght Village and was filled in in the eighteenth century when the Glebe House was built. This well was incorporated under the house to serve a water pump in the kitchen. Its former location is now used for burials” (Branigan 2012: 94).
