St Finian's Well at Clonard looks to be revitalized, as the built structure is in immaculate condition according to a recent photo records (see French and Mullen images). The well is accessible along the Clonard Heritage Trail which is maintained to facilitate pilgrimage (French, 2012:42-3).
4 Cure
One publication notes, "cures were attributed to the waters of St. Finian's Well. St. Finian is said to have bestowed a blessing on the people of Clonard whereby nobody from the area would ever be killed by lightning" (French, 2012:42).
5 Pattern day
Today the feast day for St Finian of Clonard is celebrated on December 12th (French, 2012:42).

St Finian was revered as a great teacher, at one point teaching over three thousand students at his school in Clonard before dying from yellow fever in 548 (French, 2012:42).
