“St Catherine’s Well is located within the St Catherine’s housing estate, west of the old graveyard. The well is situated within a hollow on the south bank of the stream, partially obscured by a beech tree. The spring is enclosed within a large red brick and stone arched structure. The opening was blocked…but attempts to gain access have been made” (Branigan 2012: 49).
