“Fairy Well was located at the side of Tymon Lane, Tallaght, close to a mound known as the Fairy Hill or Fairy Bank and just to the north of Tymon Castle. It was said to be surrounded by luxuriant vegetation and a wealth of wildflowers. Its site is now within Tymon Park, but no traces now remain of either well, mound or castle” (Branigan 2012: 97).
