St Brigid's Holy Well

This well is in the townland of Tully.

The well, marked by a stone cross is at the end of an enclosure encircled with trees. The well itself is deep, circular, with stone wall impoundments. A modern sculpture of the saint presides over the well's stream. A rag tree is near the well receives rosaries and ribbons.

The pattern is still observed here on the 1st of February as visitors gather leaving offerings.

Rosaries are left on the statue. Offerings of jewelry, pill bottles, glasses, and other miscellaneous items are left by the well. A rag tree sits close to the well. So many visitors leave items, that votives are cleared away and buried most every month.
